Glen Turner brand (single malt and blended malt) is owned by La Martiniquaise, the French company established in 1934 as rum importer. After the Second World War the company extended its portfolio with cognac, calvados and whisky. In 2008 La Martiniquaise purchased Glen Moray Distillery, which has been closely associated with their best selling Label 5 blend. Needles to say Glen Moray supplies malt for Glen Turner brand, which sells over million bottles a year, mainly in France. Glen Turner Heritage Double Cask is a new addition to the range; the whisky was aged in ex-bourbon and ex-Madeira casks for unspecified period of time and bottled at 40% abv.

Palate: sweet, slightly oily, breakfast cereals, vanilla, toffee, white pepper, stewed apples and hints of oak.
Finish: not too long, malty, with notes of toffee, pepper and oak.
